According to a National Toxicology Program study, rat’s ' large intestines developed malignant tumours after being exposed to whole-leaf aloe vera extract. But don't panic the study didn't include human participants, and according to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, there isn't much in the literature right now that implies researchers will discover the same outcomes in people.4
